Defence companies have been allowed temporary reservation of specialists with unsettled status

March 17, 2026, 13:05

This applies to defence enterprises that are critical to supplying the Armed Forces, other military formations, or to the operation the economy and to the provision of essential services during the special period.

The aim is to give defence companies faster access to the specialists they need — people whose skills can directly benefit the frontline. The reservation is temporary; during this period, the employees must update their records and resolve their military registration status.

How it works

  • The enterprise submits an application through the Diia portal.
  • The system checks the employee’s data and verifies that they have not received temporary reservation within the past year. Importantly, the employee must already be on military records.
  • If the conditions are met, a temporary reservation is issued.
  • Once the employee settles their military registration status, the employer can arrange a standard reservation.

The procedure for determining which enterprises qualify as critical remains unchanged.
