A dedicated website — ZBROYA.Investments — has been launched for Ukrainian companies and teams to submit projects for review and subsequent presentation to potential investors.
This instrument is designed to serve defence manufacturers, start-ups, software developers, R&D teams, dual-use technology companies, component manufacturers and suppliers.
“The growth of defence technologies in Ukraine is impossible without effective mechanisms for scaling innovation. Creating a transparent channel of interaction between developers and investors is a crucial step towards strengthening the Ukraine defence industry’s potential,” said Anna Gvozdiar, Adviser to the Minister of Defence.
How the mechanism works
The process unfolds in three stages:
1. Submission of a short application including company details, project description and required funding.
2. Analysis and prioritisation of the project.
3. For selected initiatives, support in connecting with investors through a partner network.
Areas of focus
Projects can be submitted in fields such as:
- Unmanned systems
- Ammunition and components
- Military equipment
- Communications systems
- Artificial intelligence and computer vision
- Robotics
- Cybersecurity
- Battlefield software
- Situational awareness systems
- Electronic warfare
- Autonomous platforms
- Other defence and security technologies
Benefits for participants
Applicants whose projects are shortlisted gain the chance to present to investors, take part in pitch sessions, receive expert feedback, and access a network of partners, investors, government programmes and industry events.
Strategic significance
The launch of the investment platform on the ZBROYA portal is part of the strategy to secure a technological edge over the enemy. It is a tool designed to accelerate the journey from engineering concept to mass production, turning innovations into real weapons for the Defence Forces.
Technology teams are invited to submit their projects, obtain professional evaluation, and gain direct access to capital — enabling them to scale solutions to meet frontline needs.
